Lost details of the "American Cri-Cri" emerge, including an in-flight image clip.
Today, I am thankful for Gene Stratton. He worked for me at Belite / Chipper from the start until the factory fire. He & I have remained friends, occasionally he's fetched an aircraft project for me or helped around the shop.
My phone buzzed this morning with about 40 images from Gene, providing a cache of background photos of the SkyDock. As I'd just placed the molds (along with the name, "SkyDock", which I love) up for sale, I knew you'd enjoy seeing these new pics and it would help evaluate whether buying the molds (hint: bargain price!) was a good deal.
I'll start with a group that shows some more CAD, along with the wing airfoil design and the very simple center section. The center section was attached to the carbon fiber fuselage, and the wing sections slipped in on each side. Simple, allowed the plane to be easily broken down for storage or moving!
Check the other posts of SkyDock on my blog for many other pictures, including pictures of the molds.
